My first July 4th in the USA

After I left San Francisco last month I decided that I would be back as soon as possible for the west coast. When I discovered that July 4 is a very special holiday here in the US and we would have a few extra days off. I had no doubt I soon bought the tickets to go back to California.

This time I went to Santa Monica, where I rented a car, as here in Florida, public transportation is not good as other places, but this gives us a little more flexibility to explore all the cities around Santa Monica, like Venice Beach, Los Angeles, Hollywood, Beverly Hills, and Manhattan Beach. The city was really crowded because of the holiday, but we were able to find I really good spot to see the fireworks at July 4th, but because of the jetlag I wasn’t capable to go to the party.

In the next day, I decided to explore Beverly Hills and Hollywood, we walk through the hall of fame, visited some museums about cinema, enter where the Oscar happens and saw the famous the Hollywood sign, all these places were really full all people. Beverly Hills is a fancy place, I walk through the Rodeos drive and saw that fancy stores.

During the weekend I just wanted to relax on the beach and explore around there. Many nice places, good coffee, interesting people and a gorgeous sunset. My whole life I’ve heard about California and visiting here was much more special than I imagined.

California you won my heart. I can not wait to go back.
